Author's Comments: For a while I was archiving X-Men moviefic, and doing a damn good job of it too -- until I was practically drowned in a morass of soppy Logan/Rogue stories and threw in the towel. Right before I did so, however, I took my own weird personal revenge by writing a story with absolutely no L/R elements whatsoever...and in which the X-Men meet a rather unheroic end. Except for the character I hate most, of course. Her I left alive in mad torment. Bwahahahhhh!

I've had a vague idea like this bouncing around for years, but this was the first excuse I saw to write it. I also saw it as a way to give the moviefic writers a better angle on how Rogue's power affects her psychologically.
