Let's see:

1) They're the *Predatory* *Canniballistic* Bunny Slippers
2) They've got scary-looking & rather deadly fangs.
3) They can drink some of the fictives under the table, if I remember the CBFF Round Robin right? (They can drink lots of sake & Guinness, anyway & they like smoking expensive Cuban cigars.)
4) They hang out with Abyss (both the Avatar & the writer.)
5) They scare Sinister. Badly.
6) They're very agile & no one has been able to get them with an energy blast yet. (Sinister tries, he really does.)
7) Anyone who tried to stick them in a washing machine or dryer would fail (and most likely be eaten, but let's not get gruesome).
8) No worries about moths, they'd be a small snack -- very small & not filling.
9) They scurry around faster than the slugs.
10) They *devoured* Kenny. (Otherwise known as "THEY KILLED KENNY!" but that does happen often, I understand.)
11) They've taken down dragons, no small feat.
12) They've hunted with Logan, who thinks they've very good at what they do, though not the *best*, of course.
13) Quote from Captain Logan, "These slippers are the deadliest predators I've ever seen. They're sneaky. They're fast.....I've seen these things take down a dragon with claws the size of a Subaru."
14) They're fan-fiction, not comics. That fact right there makes them better and more dangerous.
15) They look harmless, therefore when they starting eating your legs you can only stare in shock. Personally, if I saw a maggot that size I'd start running the other way before it even got close to me.
16) It's all in the name. Come on, do you really think something called "Maggot" is going to win?!?!?!
17) Eenie and Meanie don't have any fics (that I know of) written about them. Not only do Nudge-Nudge and Wink-Wink have fics written about them, but they're not all by the same writers!
18) Nudgey and Winky have all of the Subreality Cafe in a panic. The SC's never even heard of Eenie and Meanie.
19) Nudge and Wink have great aim with bar-b-q sauce. Don't ask how I know.
20) No cares for maggots. Everyone likes bunnies. Everyone likes slippers. Therefore, this is an unbeatable team.
21) The bunnies make cooler sounds.
