MESPT Eomer started out pure canon, but ran off-course when he became bored with life in the Edoras boonies and decided to visit Minas Tirith. Along the way he picked up a newly-arrived Beruthiel as a travelling companion, which was where the trouble all began...

Once in Minas Tirith, Eomer found that he liked city life so much that he was loathe to return home. (Well, the 24/7 debauchery with Beruthiel and Isildur* helped.) He soon moved out of the palace guest quarters to the Rohan/Gondor Embassy, which he converted to an inn and then to a nightclub (the Brand). Meanwhile, the womenfolk (Eowyn, Theodwyn, and Morwen Steelsheen) staged a bloody coup/war and declared Rohan a socialist republic. Eomer is no coward, but like hell he's going to take them on to regain his throne!

Eomer survived the flood which marked the beginning of the Fifth Age (good going, Ossë) but, more catastrophically, found himself betrothed to Lothiriel. His ladies took offense, and he was forced to duel Boromir II* for their honor. He was sorely injured but gained a close comrade in the new Steward (the former Steward, Faramir, had buggered off to Mother Rohan with his wife). The wedding went off as planned...until Lothiriel decided she hated her "wifely duties" and ran home to Dol Amroth, earning her bewildered husband the emnity of the ever unstable Imrahil...

A run-in with Denethor and the palantir turned Eomer into a raving pyromaniac for a bit (sorry for burning down half of your city, Elessar!) but he managed to avoid most of the "viruses" that swept Middle-Earth. However, he finally caught a severe dose of the sex-change virus, transforming him into a rather striking semblance of Leelee Sobieski circa Joan Of Arc. Isildur and Beruthiel thought it would be funny to hand the newly female (and thus virgin) Eomer to Boromir for a night of passion...which resulted in Eomer's pregnancy, much to the shock of all involved. Yeah. Pregnant. Har har.

To make matters worse, Boromir's fiance Ungoliant (who had taken a human form and gone good to restore the Trees in Imladris) was teetering on the edge of returning to her evil ways. Her betrothed's sudden devotion to "the mother of his heir" (eek!) didn't help. A huge dark plot ensued, resulting in the corruption of Boromir and Legolas, the capture/torture of Isildur and Faramir II**, a dragon battle royale over Pelennor Fields, the nigh-destruction of Minas Tirith, and the gory deaths of Denethor (twice!) and his assistant JadeGemini.

In the end, Eomer's mindlink to Boromir (another legacy of that ill-advised Beltane romp) was instrumental in bringing Boromir back to the light, but she got pretty well damaged in the process. She took a vacation down the coast to Dol Amroth (then ruled by her new "aunt" Finduilas) and invited most of her friends down for the Festival of Irmo. She then learned that she'd never been affected by the sex-change virus at all -- she'd unwittingly taken a bath in a cursed spring a la Ranma 1/2. Yup. Spring Of Drowned French Martyr. *pauses for groans* Thank you.

Another battle broke out when Legolas (still evil) unleashed a horde of small but deadly dragonettes on Gondor. Eomer fought in that and suffered a poisoned wound, but recovered well. In the breathing space afterwards she decided to "divorce" Lothiriel by ripping up the marriage certificate -- and Boromir immediately proposed. o.O After much spluttering Eomer accepted...but the next morning she was caught in the "kid effect" released by the current Ringbearer. Before the little hellion could completely run the Gondor brothers ragged, the rain triggered her Jusenkyo curse and turned her back to normal (well, adult, anyway).

Reassured that changing forms did not seem to affect her pregnancy in the least, Eomer finally braved the hot-water treatment and attended Faramir II and Isildur's wedding as a man for the first time in almost two months. To celebrate, he gleefully orchestrated the "traditional" abduction of the groom, managing to convince Eowyn and Theodred to join in the fun. Afterward, he and Lothiriel had a heart-to-heart on a quiet rooftop and came to a rather unexpected ceasefire.

With those two technically remarried, Denethor decided it was in his succession's best interest to use his influence as Melkor's High Priest to play "Hide The Fetus." Eomer's baby was mystically shifted first to Faramir II and then (on the kind intervention of Este) to Miranda Otto of SlashPuppet Theater. The stress led to several breakdowns and a terrible argument between Boromir and Eomer. Deciding that a week off would be for the best, Eomer accepted Faramir I's invitation to Rohan (the first visit since his exile months ago), assumed male form once more, and took Lothy home with him.

This week ended in chaos when Orome (a god with a different unpleasant personality for each of his many names) suddenly rediscovered the name the Rohirrim called him -- Bema, the deity who gave them horses. Unfortunately, Bema decided that he hated the Rohirrim and announced plans to wipe them out for mistreating his gift. (Shoulda known that "horsefucker" joke would be a problem someday...) Eomer sent Lothy to Lothlorien for safety and fled back to Minas Tirith until "Bema" switched personalities again.

A few quiet days later, all hell broke loose -- this time not only in MESPT but in our neighboring "world" of the Slashpuppet Theater. Ungoliant was back in style: she kidnapped Miranda Otto and stole the baby for herself! Miranda's friends from both sides of the dimensional divide allied to storm Mirkwood. Miranda was rescued, but several members of the rescue part were injured or possessed, and Ungoliant had already left with the unborn child stored within her own body...

That was a pretty miserable few weeks, I can tell you. Eomer went into a tailspin of depression; alone in Minas Tirith (he'd gone ahead to protect the more seriously wounded while others combed the forest for a lost Faramir), he drank obsessively for about three days and suffered a serious infection in his wounded shoulder. (The team medic had stabbed him while under Ungoliant's influence.) By the time it was treated he'd lost all feeling and movement in his right arm -- his sword arm. Regardless, he attended the birth of Isildur's first daughter then helped rescue Luthien from Melkor. As Beren was promptly dragged back to Mandos for deserting his post to save his wife, Eomer decided to protect Luthien in her husband's absence and took her to the Shire for rest/healing.

After a handwoven charm from Luthien and Mirabella Took's assorted medicines put his useless arm on the road to recovery, he hit the literal road with Luthien, Galdor, and Felarof to visit the elves' relatives in Rivendell. Luckily, as it turned out, as that very night the maiar went fucking nuts and (literally) shattered Arda...! Rivendell (home of the Trees reborn) was protected by Tilion, and when our heroes awoke in the morning (from a very strange dream about Doriath, mind) everything was back to normal anyhow. Huh.

The rest of the ride was uneventful. The party stayed in Edoras for a while (including the birth of Felarof's firstborn colt), plus a party weekend in Minas Tirith when three major muns quit the game at once and a massive wake was deemed necessary. However, even though everyone had been booted out of Mandos after the reversed armageddon, Beren was still missing. Luthien and Eomer started exhibiting a dangerous mutual attraction...which was cut short when a canon virus brought Boromir back from his extended pilgrimage to Tibet (yes, Tibet) to the shores of Rauros Falls.

Also in the thrall of the canon virus, Eomer rode off to the rescue...and Luthien found Beren back in her arms. Which solved that little problem for the time being...

More to come, of course...check out the daily madness via LiveJournal!

* Er, yes, our Isildur is female.
** We have two Boromirs.
*** We have two Faramirs, too. Don't ask.
