"I've always wanted money, power...the finer things in life. I had them too. I was king of the world. Until he showed up. He got famous and more powerful than I ever was. Not only that he chose my city," said the figure at the table. "I know what you mean...I have the same problem with the Kryptonian," replied the man who joined him for dinner. "Ach, ye don't understand. Ye can ne'er live up to that kind of super-powered image, Lex. But McDuck...he's just an ordinary man. Yet time and time again, he and his annoying nephews have squashed my every attempt to become the richest duck in the world again," Glomgold replied. "I'm still the richest man on my world...I may not be able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, but I still remain on top," Luthor replied. "Can ye tell me how ye did it? I could finally get one step ahead of Scroogie," Glomgold chuckled with excitement. "You must control you impulses, Flintheart. Don't get your feathers in a wad, pun not intended," Lex replied as he sipped his champagne. "Aye, but that's how Scrooge always beats me. It makes me so mad," Glomgold growled. "Sometimes, the only way to beat your enemies is to become them," Lex said with a smile. "Beat them at their own game." "Hmmmm...perhaps I should buy myself one of those Junior Woodchuck handbooks," Glomgold cackled. "Perhaps." "Anyway, how do ye hang on to what ye are and not get lost in the world of enemies?" the duck asked. "That is a very good question. I have crossed the line over into being a true supervillain more than once. Still, the boardroom is where I am at my best form," Lex replied. "You just have to flight them on your playing field." "That's easy for you to say. The Kryptonian isn't a fellow business man," Glomgold replied. "Too true. But you can also play with those around him. Does he have any friends, significant others, family... Wait you did mention nephews, correct?" Luthor replied. "Aye...those nephews are almost as annoying as he is..." "Trap them, kidnap them..." Luthor said. "Hire someone to distract them..." "Like I haven't tried those about a hundred times...ye can't win doing that way. I just feel like I've tried everything...and should quit while I have me fortune," Glomgold said, on the edge of yelling. "Then Mister Glomgold, you have but two options...give up the chase and start collecting your pension or try to modernize your methods. You can't let him win," Luthor smiled. "WAITER! Check please! I do believe you're paying, Mister Glomgold."
